Elopak is among the companies currently exhibiting at Gulfood Manufacturing at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event brings together experts, market leaders and brands to look at the latest packaging and manufacturing solutions in the food sector.
Elopak is showcasing its latest sustainable packaging solutions and innovations at stand D4-20 in Hall 4. These include the Pure-Pak® eSense carton, which is a more environmentally friendly aseptic carton that can preserve product integrity, safety, and lifespan without requiring an aluminium layer which is commonly used. The elimination of the aluminium layer results in a reduction of the carbon footprint by 30%, while facilitating full recyclability.
The company’s popular Natural Brown Board cartons will also feature. They have a lower CO2 footprint than conventional cartons owing to reduced wood consumption and the elimination of the bleaching process, and are both renewable and recyclable.
Attending the event Elopak CEO Thomas Körmendi stated,
“We are delighted to be back engaging in-person with our peers and customers at the Gulfood Manufacturing. At Elopak our investment in innovation has resulted in some exciting new product launches in the last two years. It is exciting to have the opportunity to showcase our packaging solutions live and demonstrate how we work with brands to help them achieve their sustainability goals, as well as to communicate their credentials to the end consumer,” he continued.
In October Elopak announced its acquisition of Naturepak Beverage Packaging, the leading gable top fresh liquid carton and packaging systems supplier in the MENA region. With local production facilities in Morocco and Saudi Arabia and a presence in 16 countries the move reflects Elopak’s strong commitment to growth in the Middle East and Africa.
